About Western Water

A LONG TERM PARTNER IN CHINA'S ENVIRONMENTAL SECTOR

A Pioneering Investor
One of the first wholly foreign-owned enterprises to invest in infrastructure projects in China, Western Water Group (WWG) has been at the forefront of investment in China's environmental sector for the past 12 years.

Growing alongside China's economic boom, WWG has successfully invested RMB ¥603 million (USD $88 million) in fourteen (14) water / wastewater treatment plants at an expandable total capacity of 375,000 tons per day. These projects — all exclusively owned by WWG — stretch throughout Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Fujian, Guizhou and Yunnan Provinces. All project facilities were designed and built by WWG to the highest international standards, and each individual project is structured with a stable, appropriate financial return over a 25+ year period.

A Frontier Technical Catalyst
WWG possesses major technical advantages in large part through its parent company, Han's Technologies, Inc. Based in Oakland, California, Han's Technologies owns 14 crucial U.S. patents in the wastewater treatment / waste-energy fields and has built hundreds of successful WWTPs worldwide. This expertise and experience helps WWG design and operate facilities with higher treatment efficiency and lower operating costs.

WWG's predecessor, Shenzhen Han's Environmental Technology and Engineering Corporation (SHETEC), was the first Sino-US joint venture in the environmental consulting field. SHETEC was the first company to introduce US wastewater treatment technologies into China, awarded with national certificates in environmental engineering design and operations. From 1997 to 2002, as part of the first ripple of national calls for effective wastewater treatment, SHETEC was selected as the sole technical provider and process designer for eight large WWTPs in Shenzhen, Ningxia, Guangdong and Guizhou — with a cumulative scale of 900,000 tons per day. Exclusively using Han's SBR, all these plants have been operating smoothly through the present day, making history in meeting the challenges of deteriorating local water environments.

An Ambassador for US Business to China
With such significant progress in China, WWG and its parent company have received numerous commendations from the U.S. Government, the California State Government, and the U.S. Congress. WWG was also nominated and reappointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce as a member of the prestigious Environmental Technologies Trade Advisory Committee (ETTAC), responsible for an annual report to Congress on the U.S. environmental industry.

"Western Water Group is truly an Ambassador for American business to China," according to Eric Wolff, Chief Commercial Officer of the U.S. Consulate-General in Chengdu — whose sentiment was reiterated by Carlos Gutierrez, former U.S. Secretary of Commerce, and Clark Randt, former American Ambassador to China at a WWG signing ceremony in November 2006.

An Established Player with Lasting Relationships
Focused on investing in small and medium-sized cities, WWG has received wide support from many major organizations in China, including partners such as China Construction Bank, Agricultural Bank of China, Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, and China Railway Trust.

Our Commitment
Western Water Group is dedicated to providing quality service and state-of-the-art water, wastewater and solid waste treatment systems for China's small and medium-sized cities.
